For the price we paid, Bootes Cottage exceeded our expectations. The room was impeccably clean, well-equipped and comfortable. The location couldn't have been better, with major attractions just a few minutes' walk away. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.

One minor drawback was the noise from nearby bars and restaurants on Friday and Saturday evenings, which could be heard until quite late. there were a couple of appliances, such as an electronic blind and the kettle, that needed replacing or fixing.

The roof window in the bedroom was a real highlight, offering a lovely view. The apartment was also clean and tidy, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We particularly appreciated the air conditioner, which kept us cool during our visit. Despite a few minor issues, such as a hard bed and low chairs in the living space, these could easily be fixed and wouldn't overshadow the overall experience. I highly recommend Bootes Cottage for a pleasant stay in York.
